Florida Hospital Kissimmee Imaging department is a full-service community hospital, and is dedicated to offering quality healthcare services and programs to meet the needs of the Osceola County community. We provide imaging in all modalities to include, X-ray, CT, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography and Bone DXA.
Under general supervision, is responsible for daily supervision of the CT department. Provides technical support to staff, radiologists and physicians. May image IP/OP/ED patients, while following age specific guidelines of Florida Hospital. Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Accepts additional roles assigned by department manager. .
AS degree in Radiological Technology or healthcare related field
Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various and diverse backgrounds
Knowledge of CT procedures
Knowledge of CT scanners
Customer Service skills
Computer skills to include Excel, Microsoft Word and Outlook
BS degree in Radiology or healthcare related field (Preferred)
3-5 years CT experience (Preferred)
Prior CT experience on GE scanners (Preferred)
Prior PACS experience specific to AGFA (Preferred)
Computer skills to include FH materials order entry system, T&A and PowerPoint (Preferred)
Basic IV skills (Preferred)
A background in general physics and cross-sectional anatomy (Preferred)
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:
Florida State License- general radiographer
ARRT – R
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
ARRT- CT (Preferred)

Supervises daily operation of CT. Reroutes staff, assigns duties as necessary. (Supervision)
Performs CT evaluations 100% on time, performs job competencies and educational assessments.
Ensures CT staff is performing all CT exams according to protocol on all patients of all ages following the age specific guidelines of Florida Hospital. Ensures team members are following through with transmitting images to PACS, and updating the computer. (Clinical Competence)
Monitors overtime, absenteeism, tardiness and time and attendance daily. Inputs call hours. Assists with staff schedules. Assists in the interviewing and hiring process. (Personal productivity and Accountability)
Ensures team members are completing all required education material. Provides requests for scanner maintenance, requests work orders or service, orders supplies. Follows infection control standards of FH. Monitors QA weekly on scanners. Employee job duties may include transport of pharmaceutical waste from the point of generation to a designated secure storage area. Employee will be required to complete initial training (prior to handling pharmaceutical waste) to include proper handling and transport of pharmaceutical waste, and proper selection, use and disposal of personal protective equipment. Assists with data collection of data for all KPI's, participates or leads Six Sigma projects, participates on Teams as assigned. Participates in department Gallup, applies Service Recovery techniques for patients when needed. (Performance Improvement)
Consistently attends department meetings, other meetings as assigned by manager. Helps organize and/or leads department meetings. Is responsible for meeting content. (Department Meeting Attendance)
Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
