Full Time M-F, 7am-3pm
Once every 7 weeks will have to be On Call for 24/7 for that week for emergencies while working regular scheduled shift.
Ideal candidate lives withing 45 minutes from hospital for On Call.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Individual responds promptly to all calls for emergency repairs. Takes care of any duty assignments that may arise to an emergency situation. Is available for on call. Responds to any hazards and / or emergency situations as the situation requires; maintains universal precautions
Provides analysis and coordination of vendors, contractors and other resources for root cause analysis of repeat failures. Provides recommendations, strategies and priorities to address repeat failures
Assumes supervisor role as needed. Performs all duties as required (time keeping, prioritization, CMMS administration, scheduling, etc.
Provides guidance and priority setting for work orders, engineering staff and minor projects
Provides oversight and auditing of work order completion and work conducted by staff to ensure repairs are done correctly to minimize repeat work
Coordinates equipment in-service for staff training through vendors, contractors and in-house experts or other educational means
Repairs and maintains equipment in a skilled trade area. Diagnosis and repair system malfunctions on all equipment in trade area
Schedules and performs preventative maintenance according to procedure including but not limited to inspecting, calibrating, adjusting, lubricating, repairing and replacing. Performs and documents scheduled inspections and equipment safety tests, maintaining code compliance.
Maintains complete and accurate records of all maintenance and repairs. Maintains records ensuring compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), Federal, State and Local regulations and standards.
Monitors work performed by outside contractors to insure requirements are met and results are documented properly.
What You Will Need:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Individual with experience in a medical establishment
Must maintain current knowledge base of equipment and demonstrates thorough understanding of industrial plumbing
Able to read blueprints
Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English
Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five years of work experience in the field
High School Education or GED
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Two-year certification from college or technical school or three to four-years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
The Maintenance Technician III's goal is to perform tasks, including dealing with equipment in cooperation with all staff members in assisting with safe and effective patient care. Performs any other duties as assigned and directed by the Facilities Supervisor in compliance with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the facility. The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for adhering to the Corporate Compliance Plan, to the rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.
