Plant Trainee (2002998) - Wyandotte, Michigan

The Wyandotte Thermoplastic Polyurethane Technician is responsible for the following:

Perform all shipping and receiving tasks associated with packaging of finished goods.
Perform fork truck duties.
Operate extruders, feeders, and other equipment associated with the production of TPU.
Demonstrate safe and efficient performance of daily tasks ensuring adherence to all site and plant standards.
Operate plant equipment in a manner and condition to safely produce quality product.
Maintain housekeeping at an excellent level.
Perform equipment, safety, and other required checks in an accurate, neat, and timely manner.
Effectively participate in creation of JSA's, 6S and all lean initiatives.
Contribute to the success of plant goals and objectives through participation on EHS and/or team activities to further advance the qualities of a High-Performance Organization.
Contribute to the success of plant goals & objectives through participation in activities to further advance safety, quality, costs, productivity and morale throughout the plant.

Mature dependable judgment when dealing with others. Exhibits good judgment in asking for help.

Our TPU Plant Employees work a 12 hour rotating shift schedule with overtime as required.

Ingredients for Success: What We Look For in You...

Basic Qualifications:

6 months of manufacturing, production, assembly, light industrial, material handling or warehouse experience required

High School diploma or GED required

Preferred Qualifications:

3 years of experience working in a chemical manufacturing plant

Demonstrated experience in extruder or belt lines

Fork-lift and/or pallet jack experience

Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, SAP)

Strong math skills
